I decided to pay it forward and start an internship today at the bakery that made my wedding and groom's cakes. It was eleven hours of joy in spite of my aching feet. To top off my experience, I was paid in cupcakes which brought my husband much happiness. I may be in trouble as that Oreo Kupcake may become a mistress. I looked the other way and allowed his affairs with the Boston Cream Kupcake floozie but there's only so much I will take. I may just have to start stepping out with Banana Pudding Kupcake myself! ;)
The internship at Kim's has been awesome. I have learned how to make marshmallow fondant--some very messy stuff. Also learned how to make the basic chocolate cupcake recipe and a secret ingredient (shhhh). I even know how to make the peanut butter and jelly cupcakes now.
ReplyDeleteI was tickled pink this evening to be able to buy one of the last bottles of Dark Cherry syrup at Starbucks that my barrista was willing to part with. SO, now I am trying to come up with the perfect Dark Cherry Mocho Choco Latte Cupcake. Details soon.
But, I did try a Fruit Loop uniced cupcake last week and I thought it rocked although Derrick said it needed more zest...I used a whole orange, lemon and lime zest...it had plenty!
